Our Projects

Bus Pad

Travelling for hours by bus between cities becomes more relaxing when you have some sort of entertainment options. It consists of a server on the bus which has locally stored movies on it doubled by a cloud server which will control everything and deliver the ads that will be displayed on tablets placed in each seat of the bus. This represents an opportunity both for companies interested in promoting their ads and the carrier itself.

Dubai Hackaton

The best way to become happier is to transform your idle time into time meaningfully spent. This was the theme proposed by the Dubai Government for a hack week. Some great ideas were developed and cool prototypes were built. For instance, during this week we developed a smart headphone capable of tracking your feelings on the move, while the data thus collected can further contribute to mapping happy places in Dubai. This way you will be able to relive your happiest moments using the smartphone app. The hack was organised by Hackmasters UK.

Nfc tool

This was an inhouse development kit used to classify and explore NFC tags. Making it portable was a key feature. Other than that it has a small screen to display the information read from tags and store them if needed on a SD card. Using the USB programming port more advanced debugging can be done and custom programs can be loaded into it.

Escape room puzzles

The MADHOUSE Escape Room makes use of technology to take the experience of the participants to a new level. In order to make the puzzles more immersive and challenging, electronics came into play. Not to mention that puzzle automation makes it easier for supervisors to monitor the activity in the escape room and reset puzzles.

WALL-E replica

The WALL-E replica was built for Academia inventeaza.ro that teaches kids programming and electronics through the means of robotics and a more complex robot for show and tell was needed. We used an Arduino for the motion bits and a Raspberry Pi for the brain and senses. The robot can take pictures and capture video streams while moving and avoiding obstacles in his path. We are thinking about doing face recognition and Natural language processing using the Internet and corresponding API’s in the near future.

Inventicade

An inhouse project was to build a replica of the old arcade games, capable to emulate multiple platforms. The device runs on a RaspberryPi board, using PiPlay, a pre built Raspberry Pi OS made for gaming and emulation. Players can play through a number of buttons and a joystick, exactly like the good old arcade games.
