# Quick getting started guide for the DEEPX DX-M1 AI Kit
							
## About
DeepX DX-M1 AI Kit
The DEEPX DX-M1 AI Kit bundles the OrangePi5+ with the DEEPX DX-M1 AI accelerator. The kit contains the following components:
- DX-M1 Neural Processing Unit(NPU)
- OrangePi5+
- Thermal pads
- Mounting hardware
- Heatsinks
- Fan

## NPU features
- 25 tera-operations per second (TOPS) neural network inference accelerator
- 2.4x performance and 20x efficiency compared to a 40W GPU
- 90% less emissions and energy use
- M.2 form factor

## Assemble
1. Insert the 4 bolts into the OrangePi5+ on the side where the DX-M1 module is installed. \\
Step 1 assembly
2. Flip the board (make sure the bolts don\'t fall out in the process). \\
Step 2 assembly
3. Insert one plastic spacer on each one of the bolts. \\
Step 3 assembly
4. Place the thermal pads as shown. \\

5. Carefully, mount the heatsink through the bolts. \\
Step 5 assembly
6. Insert the remaining plastic spacers on the bolts. \\
Step 6 assembly
7. Tighten each bolt with a nut. \\

8. Mount the fan using the provided screws. \\
Step 8 assembly
9. Plug in the fan to pins 2 and 3 as shown below. \\

10. Gently, attach the provided heatsink to the DX-M1 module. \\

## Install
Make sure that you are running the latest Linux driver and DX software available.
